Groceries

Shop by phone grocery service

Provided by Community Volunteer Services for Seniors

 

If you are a senior or have physical limitations and are unable to shop for yourself, you can order groceries by phone.  Volunteers will take your order and do your shopping for you at a local supermarket, and the store will deliver your order.  You can use this service weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Hours- Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30 pm.

 

Repairs

Senior's Repair Service

Seniors or people with disabilities, who live in their own homes or apartments, can get plumbing, electrical, painting, minor repairs, wall papering and some gardening done.  The work is guaranteed.  You have to pay for the price of materials, transportation and a small amount for labour.

 

Home Support and Continuing Care

604-527-3000

You may be eligible for a number of health services provided by the Fraser Health Authority.  It is recommended that you discuss any health problems with your physician.

You may want to contact Continuing Care Services for information about the region's residential care facilities, ranging from small group homes, through intermediate and extended care, up to multi-level facilities.  There are also Adult Day Programs for community dwelling seniors.
